I was referred to Thin Air Physical Therapy and I am so glad I was. It is a very friendly place and Jessica really knows her stuff and has a great personality! She is very patient and really listens. In just a few days I could already tell a difference.

Ryan is the best. He works you hard because he wants to make sure you were at your best before he releases you from his care. When walking into the practice, you’re greeted by Lynn. The three therapist always greet you, and legitimately care about you as a patient and as a person. If you are wanting one on one care this is a place to go. They will make sure you are strong.

Ryan Nelson is amazing at what he does. He took time to get to know me and learn where I wanted to get to after my Achilles injury. He gave me an extremely accurate timeline for recovery and reasonable goals along the way, which I really need. He took into account my goals and fitness level into the PT and helped me push hard without hurting myself. Just finished up my last session, and just ran my first 5k post surgery! Feeling strong and ready to tackle my next race in 6 weeks! Thanks Ryan!! Also, Jess and Lynn are super fun and they make the whole experience enjoyable. I felt welcome each day and felt that they actually enjoyed each time I was there. I have never experienced such a personal touch at a clinic before. Ryan and Jess have built a wonderful team and fun environment. I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

I’ve been to several physical therapy clinics around our city over the past few decades [I’m 70 now]. The Thin Air PT clinic is like a breath of fresh air. The ambiance–if you will–within the facility is open (not crowded) or overly busy with too many patients and the PT care I’ve received thus far has encouraged and helped me to steadily become more mobile post-op from my knee replacement surgery 5 wks ago…making good progress–especially since my overall condition had deteriorated bc of the number of years [16] I had waited [needed] bc the ortho doctors I had seen over all those years kept telling me no…you’re too young I was told for 9 yrs. Then the new ortho doc told me for 7 yrs you’re overweight. Got the new “Jiffy Knee” replacement method and now, with the great care I’m receiving at Thin Air PT & my home exercises…I’m finally seeing light at the end of a long tunnel. Hoping to get my R knee done within the next 3-5 months, and continue with my excellent PT care at Thin Air, and visualizing being able to walk completely upright and becoming strong again within a year post-op from my R “Jiffy Knee” replacement. I have hope now to getting back to a more normal well-being overall thanks to “Jiffy Knee” and Thin Air PT❣️🙌🏼

In evaluating Thin Air Physical Therapy I want to state the bottom line at the very top of my review, and that is that you will not find a better physical therapy clinic anywhere, not in Flagstaff or anywhere else. Whether or not you read any more of my review, I want you to read that. Jessica, Ryan, and Lynn work very hard to make this a fact, and their efforts to do this are obvious from your very first visit. This is how I know this to be true: In 2021 I underwent surgery to replace my left shoulder. The first step was to strengthen that shoulder as much as possible. I started therapy with Jessica, and in no time was ready for the surgery. Once that was completed I again went to Jessica at Thin Air, and to make a long story short, she fully rehabilitated my shoulder in a matter of a few months so that it truly was, and is good as new. Now it’s 2024 and I injured my right shoulder. I certainly knew right away where to go and who to see. Jess took me in, evaluated my injury, set up an appointment schedule, and we went to work. It’s been one month now and I’m seeing improvement almost every day. This is not an exaggeration. It’s a real joy. One of the greatest secrets that make this clinic so unique, and make the rigors of the therapy so much more bearable is the really pleasant atmosphere of the clinic itself. There is a LOT of laughter, stories are shared, jokes are told, and in no time patients and staff are relating as family, working together to achieve our goals, and also having a really pleasant time time doing it. I actually look forward to my appointments, and that’s not something you generally hear in respect to physical therapy! Lol! My true advice to anyone seeking a physical therapy clinic is before making any choices at all, go by Thin Air Physical Therapy, and just meet Jessica, Ryan, and Lynn. You will be so warmly greeted and pleasantly surprised that I believe you’ll be glad I told you the bottom line : You will not find a better physical therapy clinic anywhere, not in Flagstaff or anywhere else!

This place is amazing! I am so happy and pleased with the care and support I have been given because my injuries are not an easy fix without surgery. Jess found some exercises and ways to flex while I wait for insurance Auth. Most important is that she has kept the pain level manageable so I can keep working in spite of all the delay with insurance. They know me and ask about my activities and family. The best PT I have had ever!

Excellent. Professional and friendly doctors. I was recommended to go here by my orthopedic clinic, because of the background of long distance running by the doctors here. I hike a lot for work, and was terrified I’d have to change up my job type because eof my knee problems. Turns out it was mostly hip muscle problems, the doctors diagnosed that quickly and set me on some PT exercises that fixed me right up. So thankful to ya Ryan!

Ryan is the best PT I’ve ever had (and I’ve had five over the past 9 years). Thin Air PT is also my favorite facility I’ve done rehab in. You won’t get better care anywhere than you will here.

Hi, My experience with thin Air physical therapy was amazing. First off I’m very active and exercise often. I was in a car accident and have had pain in my shoulder area that I thought it was a artery or some kind of blockage pain I never have felt. My first visit Ryan examined me and new exactly what had happened. He showed me pictures of where my injury was and it all made sense. I had never injured that muscle before and really had no idea that there was a muscle under my main peck. My overall experience was above expectations. I highly recommend Thin Air physical therapy to all. Thanks again

I’m no stranger to PT, and Thin Air is the best place I’ve ever been. It’s the third clinic I’ve tried in Flagstaff alone! I didn’t feel rushed or overlooked, and Jess spent a lot of time answering questions and tweaking exercises to fit my unique goals. The atmosphere here is friendly and uplifting, even when you’re uncomfortable from an injury. I’ll be back next time around, without a doubt 🙂 Thank you Jess, Ryan, Lynn, and Elle!

Thin Air is a phenomenal out patient physical therapy clinic! The staff there are always in a good mood, and are always willing to have a good and fun conversation. Jess and Ryan are both very knowledgeable physical therapists and are very patient but also extremely motivating. I had been going for post surgery “ACL Tear” recovery and have seen amazing improvements in my mobility, strength, and coordination. Most definitely go to Thin Air!!!

About a month in to post- surgery PT and I couldn’t be happier with my choice in clinic. All of the staff from from front desk to the therapists are friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. They make a tough recovery just that much easier. I would recommend them to anyone.

Jessica is an amazing PT! When I tore the ligament in my ankle, I would have never been able to have such a quick recovery without her help.

Ryan Nelson is fantastic. He is remarkably equipped for treating a wide variety of physical ailments. Being a talented runner himself, he is specifically well versed in treating the injuries we athletes face. There is no substitute for intelligence and experience; Ryan Nelson has both.

Thin Air Physical Therapy is a wonderful place with wonderful people! Jess and Ryan are very skilled and know their stuff! I have had a chronic foot injury that has taken me out of activity for a while and they are encouraging and positive in helping me get back to running. They can help if you are just a weekend warrior or a top tier athlete or just someone trying to heal and feel better every day. Thank you Thin Air PT for helping me to get better!
